Vietnam presents medical supplies to Lao people
PANO – The Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association presented medical supplies to help the Lao people prevent and combat the COVID-19 pandemic on April 21.
Vice President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association Nguyen Manh Hung handed over the gifts to the Lao people through the Lao Embassy in Hanoi.

The medical supplies include 500 protective suits and 18,500 face masks. The gifts showed the goodwill of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association’s members in supporting the Lao people in overcoming difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The gifts also contribute to promoting the special solidarity between the two nations and two peoples.
For his part, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang thanked the Vietnamese people and the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association for their support for the Lao people. He also appreciated the contributions of Vietnamese medical experts in sharing their experience in COVID-19 treatment with Lao doctors and staff.
The Ambassador affirmed that this is a vivid demonstration of the tradition of solidarity, fraternity and assistance of the Vietnamese people, and the special relationship between the two peoples.
