At the signing ceremony of the MOU

The MOU was initiated at a talk between the Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association and the Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association on the occasion of a visit paid by a delegation of the Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association to Vietnam from Dec. 18 to 24.

Under the agreement, the two associations will jointly hold anniversaries of their national days or the day of the establishment of their diplomatic relations. Besides, they will launch conferences, forums, trade and investment fairs, and delegation exchanges among the two countries’ businesses.

At the talk, President of the Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association Chu Cong Phung warmly welcomed the Myanmar delegation’s visit, considering it a good opportunity for the two countries to boost cooperation in various fields, especially in linking the two countries’ businesses.

Speaking at the event, President of the Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association Tint Swai shared his honor to be the leader of the association and his warm impression of the Vietnam and its people.

He hoped that the two associations will accelerate joint collaboration in all walks of life to bring into play their expected results and educate both sides’ young generations of the significance of the Myanmar-Vietnam relationship as well as raise their understanding about each country.

During the talk, representatives of the two sides discussed the bilateral economic cooperation and investment potential between the two countries’ enterprises, particularly the development of a Vietnamese special economic zone (SEZ) in Myanmar, and the preference given to enterprises, and so on.

As scheduled, the delegation of Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association will pay courtesy visits to the Vietnamese State’s leaders, work with the Embassy of Myanmar in Vietnam, the Chinese Research Institute, and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and tour the Ba Vi Milk Factory.
