At the meetings, Kien Giang authorities shared the province's notable achievements in socio-economic development in 2024. They provided updates on the search and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia, expressing hope that Cambodian localities will continue supporting the province in carrying out the work in the coming time.

Khiev Rithiphorn, Deputy Governor of Kampot province, expressed his desire for strengthened cooperation between Kampot and Kien Giang in the coming years, particularly in the fields of economy, culture, and social affairs.
In 2025, Kampot province will hold many promotional activities aimed at attracting more tourists, Rithiphorn said, saying he hopes Kien Giang's leaders will create favourable conditions for local residents to visit and experience the Cambodian province’s tourism offerings.
Similarly, Governor of Kep province Som Piseth emphasized the extensive cooperation between the two localities in recent years, which has led to significant progress. He commended Kien Giang for its spiritual and material support to Kep.
Briefing the host about the achievements and development results of Preah Sihanouk province, Deputy Governor Em Pheap expressed a desire to collaborate with Kien Giang in advancing collaboration in such spheres as transportation, logistics, infrastructure, and tourism.
Throughout the meetings, leaders of Kien Giang and the Cambodian delegations underscored the importance of continuing to promote exchanges, research, and cooperation in areas like economy, culture, security, and public safety. They also highlighted the need to further strengthen people-to-people exchanges and continue the search and repatriation of Vietnamese soldiers' remains, honoring their sacrifices during the war in Cambodia.
