The third ASEAN forum on labor safety and hygiene was held in the central city of Da Nang on April 28, attracting nearly 200 delegates from 10 ASEAN member states, the International Labor Organization and regional enterprises.

The event was part of the 17th annual conference of the ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network (ASEAN-OSHNET) held in Da Nang from April 26-28, offering a venue for regional member countries and partners to share experience in carrying out labor safety and hygiene programs and learn about difficulties in creating a safe and friendly working environment.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep informed the participants on the outcomes of the ASEAN-OSHNET conference, saying that it adopted the 2016-2020 action plan, on the pillars of further improving labor safety and hygiene standards, improving workforce quality and generating a safe and friendly working environment.

At the forum, several participants shared their experience in conducting labor safety and hygiene programs.
