In 2018, Thailand recorded 877,000 visitors from Germany, up by about 4.7 percent from 2017. Switzerland and Austria are also two of the most important markets in Europe for Thailand.

The Director of TAT’s Frankfurt Office, Denduan Luangcheng, said the TAT has penetrated the second-tier markets and introduced interesting tourist destinations in Thailand.

Chang island in Trat province and other tourist attractions in Khanom district of Nakhon Si Thammarat province are now on the list of major destinations of German tour agencies.
