Former Myanmar’s military leader Min Aung Hlaing is elected Myanmar president with 429 out of the 584 votes.

On March 31, Min Aung Hlaing, Nan Ni Ni Aye, and U Nyo Saw were elected the country's vice presidents.

Min Aung Hlaing had earlier relinquished his post of the commander-in-chief because the constitution prohibits the president from simultaneously holding the top military position.
