The first phase of the project was launched in 2018 and joined by the three ASEAN member countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Reportedly, as many as 160 valuable cultural heritage elements have been digitized and archived on the platforms of images, records, and videos.

The ASEAN Secretariat and representatives of member countries also discussed to continuously implement the second phase of the project in 2020 with the participation of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
