Visit Vietnam Year opens hope for tourism development

Addressing the event, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh said that the successful organization of the “Visit Vietnam Year - Quang Nam 2022” contributed to the overall success of the Vietnam tourism in 2022.

The provincial leader said that the number of international and domestic tourists to Vietnam this year is estimated to reach 3.5 million and over 101.3 million, respectively. Attentively, the country’s tourism revenue is estimated to reach about VND 495 trillion VND.

In Quang Nam province, the “Visit Vietnam Year - Quang Nam 2022” has helped recover Quang Nam tourism sector which was badly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The success of the Visit Vietnam Year has created a momentum and a prospect for tourism development in the years to come. 

Binh Thuan province will host the Visit Vietnam Year 2023 with the theme “Binh Thuan - Green Convergence.”

In the “Visit Vietnam Year - Quang Nam 2022,” more than 210 events took place across Vietnam, including 73 events organized in Quang Nam province, thus spreading the role and efficiency of tourism towards the national economy.

Following the success of the tourism year, Quang Nam province will host the National Start-up Year - Quang Nam 2023 themed “Spreading the start-up spirit.” It will be a typical scientific and socio-economic event of national and international scale. Its aim is to create a start-up culture, arouse the entrepreneurship spirit, form a sustainable national innovation start-up ecosystem, and more.
