National Tourism Year 2017 concludes

Quang Ninh will host the National Tourism Year 2018.

Addressing the event, Nguyen Van Binh, Politburo member, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission and head of the Steering Committee for the Northwestern Region acknowledged the efforts of Lao Cai province and northwestern localities in organizing the National Tourism Year 2017. He affirmed that the outcomes of the tourism year not only brought about changes in Lao Cai’s tourism industry, but also helped change the awareness of agencies, industries and Lao Cai people of the important role of tourism development. 

Binh asked localities across the country to foster the implementation of resolutions on turning tourism into the key economic industry.

At the event, Sa Pa in Lao Cai province received the Prime Minister’s certificate in recognizing Sa Pa as the National Tourism Site.

The 2018 event, themed "Ha Long-Heritage, Wonder – Friendly Destination" will be hosted by Quang Ninh province.
