The program aimed to introduce Hanoi as a destination to visitors and was broadcast live through social media. This was part of a series of 50 events in Hanoi in 2023, such as Hanoi Tourism Festival 2023, Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2023, Hanoi Autumn Festival, among others, in order to achieve a target of welcoming more than three million international visitors.

An overview of the opening ceremony 

Addressing the opening ceremony, Director of Hanoi’s Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang held that this was an occasion to introduce Hanoi’s tourism potential so as to attract more tourists to the city.

She also affirmed that the local tourism sector would continue to effectively take measure to promote tourism products, so as to make contribution to the city’s socio-economic development.

Via the program, the Hanoi’s Department of Tourism hoped each Hanoian would popularize noble virtues of the local people in order to introduce the city’s culture, history and people and attract more domestic and international travellers.

In 2023, Hanoi focuses on developing tourism products, promoting infrastructure, especially in tourism sites so as to satisfy visiors. It also gives high priority to MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) tourism, among others.
