“Da Lat Night Journey” is a newly-launched tourism product of the railway sector in the hope of bringing new experience to tourists, introducing beautiful Da Lat at night, and diversifying local tourism services and development.

The Da Lat - Trai Mat train route is 6.7km long. It is the remaining section of the already-closed 84km Cham Tower - Da Lat route that linked Ninh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces, which was built by the French and started to be exploited in 1932. This is the only cogwheel railway route in Vietnam to help tourists explore romantic Da Lat in daytime and strange and fanciful Da Lat at night during a nearly one-hour round trip journey.

Apart from free music, artichoke tea, wifi connection, tourists of the “Da Lat Night Journey” can enjoy dishes on request (not included in the ticket price).

On the inaugural day, a documentary on the history of Da Lat station and the Cham Tower - Da Lat cogwheel railway route was screened together with a Trinh Cong Son music night and a Ao dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) show.

The new train route is hoped to lure more tourists to Da Lat and help to develop Da Lat Station and Da Lat - Trai Mat route into indispensable cultural, tourist and culinary attractions for tourists to Da Lat city.
