Beijing tourism promotion program launched in Hanoi
PANO – The Beijing Tourism Development Committee of China launched a tourism promotion program in Hanoi on May 24 with the attendance of leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and the Hanoi municipal Department of Tourism and many travel agencies.
Speaking at the event, representative of the Beijing Tourism Development Committee introduced participants to Beijing’s long-lasting culture and history, stressing that the program would offer a great opportunity for Vietnamese tourists to enjoy the Chinese capital city’s beauty. In the framework of the program, many typical tourism products were designed such as world heritages, action games, museums, to name just a few.
Vietnam welcomed over 5 million turns of international guests, including over 1.5 million Chinese tourists, in the first five months of this year, said Mr. Ngo Hoai Chung, VNAT’s Deputy General Director. He added that Chinese tourists are very important to the Vietnam’s tourism development strategy and believed that through the program, both cities of Hanoi and Beijing would improve their tourism products’ quality to better serve tourists.
