Bamboo Airways to launch more round-trip flights in February
Vietnam’s new budget carrier Bamboo Airways has announced that it will launch three new air routes between Ho Chi Minh City-Vinh, Hanoi-Vinh, and Vinh-Buon Me Thuot, with at least seven round-trip flights per week from February 23.
The Vinh-Da Lat flight service will also be launched on February 27 with four round-trip flights per week.
The prices will start at 149,000 VND (6.4 USD), exclusive of taxes and fees.
The airline plans to operate 37-40 air routes this year, contributing to promoting trade and tourism between regions.
Earlier, Bamboo Airways launched flights between Hanoi-Quy Nhon, Hanoi-Nha Trang, Hanoi-Da Nang, Hanoi-Dong Hoi, Hanoi-Phu Quoc, Hanoi-Buon Me Thuot, Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City-Quy Nhon, Ho Chi Minh City-Van Don, and Ho Chi Minh City-Thanh Hoa.
The carrier will also offer flights to Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and some European countries this year.
Within the US, the airline is considering launching direct air routes to Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco in late 2020 or early 2021, following the US Federal Aviation Administration’s granting a Category 1 status to Vietnam, which has set the stage for Vietnamese airlines to serve US destinations.
