Vietnamese institute partners with Russian university
PANO - The Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) under the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Industrial University of Tyumen (IUT) of Russia.
Under the agreement, signed within the framework of the 2017 Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum, VPI and IUT will boost cooperation in training high-quality human resources, create favorable conditions for the deployment of internship programs for students, exchange cadres and experts, get involved in joint research projects and other research and training programs related to oil and gas and related industries.

In the short time, VPI will invite some Russian experts to give lectures in Vietnam to share knowledge and experiences on studying and exploiting oil and gas in Russia with Vietnamese cadres.
Also at the 2017 Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum, VPI’s Deputy Director Nguyen Hong Minh participated in a discussion on training and developing human resources. He delivered a report featuring PetroVietnam’s strong-points and reality in training and developing oil and gas experts.
During their stay in Russia, the VPI’s delegation worked with several Russian experts and IUT’s affiliates on the fields on applying advanced technologies in tackling oil spills and collecting spilt oil.
