PANO – The Thai Nguyen provincial Military Command recently mobilized 500 troops to help locals in Dong Dong hamlet (Phuong Giao commune, Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province) build a communal house.
The house was constructed at a cost of VND 400 million, including VND 300 million from the provincial military command, and the rest donated by organizations and businesses of the province.
Upon receiving the house, locals expressed joy, for they now have a spacious common space to gather and organize cultural and artistic activities to enhance their spiritual life.
* The Military Command of Pleiku city (Gia Lai province) recently held a ceremony to announce that it will take care of heroic Vietnamese mother Le Thi Hue, born 1926 in Duy Nghia (Quang Nam province). Mother Hue, whose husband and son laid down their lives for the sake of national independence, is now living in Pleiku city. The military command will present a monthly allowance of VND 500,000 to her and regularly visit to take care of her.
* The Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command has just handed over a “soldier’s house in border area” to Non-commissioned Second Lieutenant A Dai, an interpreter of Song Thanh Border Post (Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command). The 70sqm house was built at a cost of VND 60 million from troops of the command.
Since the beginning of the year, the command has built and handed over 6 houses, worth VND 500 million, to beneficiaries.
