Social resources sent to Fatherland Front to help COVID-19 fight
Social resources have been sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) over the past few days in response to a call from the Party, Government and the VFF to fight the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
According to preliminary statistics, the amount of money donated through the National Humanitarian Portal has reached over VND 128 billion (USD 5.4 million).
More than VND 750 billion in cash and kind have been sent to the VFF Central Committee.
On April 6, President of the VFF Central Committee Tran Thanh Man received VND 100 million (USD 4,266) from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs.

He stressed that all of the cash will be transferred to the Ministry of Health to buy essential medical equipment to tackle COVID-19, while relief packages will be sent to the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Public Security for distribution to quarantine and treatment facilities throughout the country.
The same day, the VFF leader also received fundings worth VND 105 million and VND 335 million from Doan ket Company Limited and AOE Community in Vietnam, respectively.
Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Huu Dung received VND 30 million from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, and VND 40 million from the National Political Publishing House, in donations for the nationwide fight against COVID-19.
Also on April 6, the VFF’s chapter in the northern province of Hai Duong received support from many businesses in and out of the locality to prevent the pandemic.
The chapter has received over VND 4.6 billion, including VND 3 billion in cash and the remainder in essential goods, food and medical equipment.
