One million bricks transported free to support housing construction for flood victims
The Vietnam Railways Corporation will transport 1 million bricks free from the North to the Central to support home construction and repairs for families affected by recent storms and floods, as part of Quang Trung campaign initiated by the Prime Minister.
The activity aims to accelerate the campaign, which seeks to rapidly building and repairing homes for households affected by natural disasters in central localities.

VRC continues to mobilize maximum resources to swiftly deploy assigned tasks, helping residents quickly stabilize their lives and achieving the campaign’s objectives in the shortest time possible.
So far, the railway sector has transported 400,000 bricks from Bim Son station in Thanh Hoa province to Hoa Da station in Tuy An Nam commune of Dak Lak province. The remaining bricks from the total of 1 million will be delivered on subsequent trains to ensure full supply for localities as planned.
Railway units are working closely with local authorities and receiving agencies to ensure materials are delivered to the right place at the right time, effectively supporting home construction and repairs for disaster-affected residents.
VRC also carried out humanitarian support activities during the recent storms and floods.
Since October 10, the railway sector has transported over 31,000 relief shipments free of charge to residents in the central region, donated by organizations, unions, and localities.
