National action month on HIV/AIDS prevention and control launched
PANO - “Early HIV testing - Looking towards 90-90-90 target by 2020” is the theme of the national action month on HIV/AIDS prevention and control which started on November 10 and the World AIDS Day (December 1) in Vietnam this year, as announced at a press briefing by representatives from the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control on November 9.
The action month aims to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention.
The goal of this action month is to strengthen the participation of the whole political system and the whole people, to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention and control and the interest of early HIV testing among people from all walks of life, especially vulnerable ones, those living in remote and mountainous areas and ethnic minority people.
Further information dissemination in this field will focus on reducing discrimination against people with HIV and the impacts of HIV/AIDS.
