The gifts will be delivered to medical personnel in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities, the provinces of Dong Nai, Hung Yen, and Dak Lak, and the General Department of Preventive Medicine.

At the event, the Director of Nestlé Bong Sen Factory Pierre Morin congratulated the Vietnamese Government and Ministry of Health for effective preventive measures in the COVID-19 fight, and at the same time appreciated the tireless efforts of Vietnamese medical personnel.

Reportedly, the company has actively joined the efforts in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. It has donated nutritional products and VND 12 billion in cash to support forces directly involved in COVID-19 prevention and control.

As expected, the company will also assist 22,000 business counterparts across the country to help them overcome the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

* On May 19, the U.K.-based AstraZeneca Company donated 400,000 medical masks to the Ministry of Health to support Vietnam's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the event, Nitin Kapoor, Chairman of AstraZeneca Vietnam, said that the company appreciates Vietnam’s effective measures in fighting the pandemic.

He noted that by leveraging digital engagement, his firm has connected more than 5,000 Vietnamese healthcare practitioners with global clinical experts to equip them with the latest knowledge on COVID-19 as they continue to care for vulnerable patients with diseases such as asthma, diabetes and cancer.
