PANO - The Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation and Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin have held a meeting in Hanoi to mark the UN International Day of Victims of Chemical Weapons (April 29).
At the meeting, Vice President of the Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation Trinh Ngoc Thai said that there will be many activities with the participation of Vietnam to mark the special day over the world.
Vietnam became a member of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in 1998, Mr Thai added.
The organizing board of the event called on people worldwide to prevent chemical weapons and support for victims of these weapons.
