The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong will upgrade 20 medical stations and build three new ones in disadvantaged areas with a total investment of VND 20.5 billion (USD 880,000).
The three new clinics will be constructed in Lieng Sronh commune of Dam Rong district, and Da Ploa and Da Ton communes of Da Huoai district, which are home to many ethnic minorities.
Construction on the new clinics, costing a total of VND 10.5 billion (USD 462,000), is scheduled to start in 2018 and complete in 2020.
Meanwhile, the 20 to-be-upgraded medical stations are located in Da Lat and Bao Loc cities, and Don Duong, Duc Trong, Di Linh, Bao Lam and Da Huoai districts.
After the upgrade, the centers are expected to meet national standards for communal clinics, contributing to improving local health care services.
