This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has re-surged with more complex and unpredictable developments, forcing the city to drastically undertake comprehensive measures in order to fulfill the twin goals of combating the virus and sustaining economic growth, it said.

More than ever, the COVID-19 fight needs support from the entire political system, business community and people in Hanoi to begin the local free vaccination campaign, poised as the long-term strategic solution for the current situation, it added.

Hanoi will host a show called “Hanoi chung tay hanh dong day lui dich COVID-19” (Hanoi joins hands to fight COVID-19) at the Friendship Culture Palace at 8:00pm on June 19. It will be broadcast live.
