Forum on sustainable development in Vietnam opens
PANO – The first Vietnam Sustainability Forum (VSF-2018) themed “Looking back on the model of prosperous growth, environmental sustainability and social integration”, opens today in Hanoi and in Quang Ninh province tomorrow.
The forum is organized by the Academy of Policy and Development under the Ministry of Planning and Investment in collaboration with the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE Global).

VSF-2018 draws the participation of the world's top experts in various fields, such as economics, environment, education, health and energy. This event offers an opportunity for policy-makers, businesses and non-governmental organizations along with experts, researchers to discuss global ideals, solutions and trends for the sustainable development of the world in general and for Vietnam in particular.
During the forum, the participants focus on three main issues, namely sustainable economic growth and social inclusion; challenges, models and roadmaps; initiatives on sustainable finance and investment; recent trends on innovation and technology to handle climate change.
The highlight of the VSF 2018 is a special discussion on Van Don Special Economic Zone in Quang Ninh province with its theme "Van Don Special Economic Zone: A sustainable city and investment opportunities."
