Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the dormitory

PANO – A dormitory was inaugurated and handed over to the Pu Lau primary school in Muong Nha commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, on June 25th.

The 200sq.m project, including five rooms, three kitchens, toilets and playgrounds, was built to mark the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and 25th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defence Day, costing VND 1.2 billion. Of which, the Ministry of National Defence contributed VND 1 billion, extracted from the “Day for the Poor” Foundation of the army.

Teacher Hoang Ngoc Vinh, Headmaster of the school, said that it was the meaningful present of the ministry to the school’s teachers and students, and would contribute to reducing the number of drop-outs and improving the school’s teaching and learning quality.

Major General Le Hien Van, Deputy Commissar of Military Zone 2, hoped that the school’s students would well study to become the future masters of the province of Dien Bien.
