Australia to open direct aid program 2018-19 for local disadvantaged groups
PANO - The Australian Embassy in Hanoi will open applications on July 1 for the Australian Government’s Direct Aid Program (DAP) grant round 2018-19, for projects in Northern Vietnam which covers provinces North of, and including Thua Thien-Hue province.

In 2018, the Australian Embassy’s DAP Program supported the Youth Union of Vinh Tru town, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province to build a high-tech greenhouse, run by 60 cooperative members who are disabled, jobless, poor or ex-servicemen. Small grants of up to AUD60,000 are available to NGOs, community groups and other not-for-profit entities to undertake small-scale development projects focusing on the economic empowerment of disadvantaged communities and groups. In the year 2018-19, Hanoi DAP will prioritize higher value projects, and projects which take an innovative approach to a longstanding development challenge. The deadline for submitting applications (online) is July 31, 2018.
With an annual budget of AUD300,000, DAP in Northern Vietnam is an extremely competitive program. Applications must meet the requirements detailed in the DAP Guidelines, and comply with the requirements in the application form.
Applicants are required to read the Guidelines and fill in the application forms for the Hanoi 2018-19 DAP grants.
