Leader of the Republic of Korea’s Hanwha conglomerate said that the company wants to invest in a waste water treatment system for the Tan Hoa – Lo Gom canal in Ho Chi Minh City.

At a meeting with HCM City People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Van Khoa on August 8, Hanwah Vice President Choi Chul Soo said the group is undertaking procedures to submit the project to the municipal authorities for approval.
Choi said the company is ready to invest in other projects of the kind in the city, as well as to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in building new urban areas.
On his part, Vice Chairman Le Van Khoa said the city supports Hanwha’s wastewater treatment project for Tan Hoa – Lo Gom canal, adding that the municipal government will always create favourable conditions for investors.
He also asked Hanwha to cut construction costs of the plant as well as seek preferential capital to implement the project.
