PANO - The Vietnam Writers’ Association, on May 13th, held a ceremony to award prizes for literary works resulting from the mobilization to write and disseminate literary and press works with the topic “Learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example”.

The event was seen as a practical and meaningful activity to celebrate the 123rd Birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th, 1890 –2013).

The organizing board agreed to give the highest prizes to two scientific research works named “Ho Chi Minh’s Thought and Vietnam Communist Party in building new people and new culture” by Nguyen Trung Thu and “Seeking the origin of Ho Chi Minh’s poems” by Le Xuan Duc, as well as a novel titled “Liberation” by Hoang Quang Uyen and a poetry collection titled “Uncle Ho’s 79 Springs” by Nguyen Quang.

At the event, Chairman of Vietnam Writers’ Association, poet Huu Thinh expressed respect to all writers and poets participating in the mobilization, as they had represented all Vietnamese writers and poets to pay deep tribute to Uncle Ho.
