Legislators debate draft revised Law on People’s Public Security Forces
Legislators of the 14th National Assembly debated a draft revised Law on People’s Public Security Forces during their ongoing fifth session in Hanoi on June 7.
Under the chair of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the deputies listened to a report on the bill presented by Minister of Public Security To Lam, and a verification report on the bill presented by Chairman of the NA’s Committee and Defense and Security Vo Trong Viet.

The deputies discussed in groups the draft revised Law on People’s Public Security Forces, along with a draft Law on Animal Husbandry in the afternoon sitting.
After listening to a report presented by NA General Secretary and Chairman of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc on the planned NA supervision program for 2019, the legislators gave ideas on the plan.
Most of the opinions agreed with the proposal, while raising ideas on issues related to the criteria of choosing supervision topics, the number of topics, while suggesting a number of matters for supervision.
As schedule, the NA had a plenary session on June 8. In the morning, the legislators voted on the Law on National Defense (revised), and discussed the Vietnam Coast Guard Law.
In the afternoon, they voted on a resolution on the program of law and ordinance building in 2019, and the adjustment of the program for 2018. They also gave ideas on a draft Law on Cultivation.
