PANO - An MK82 bomb, weighing 226.5 kilograms, has been recently found in Kim Thanh village, Dong Loc commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province by Team 3 of the Vietnam Bomb and Mine Clearance Action Center (VBMAC).

The bomb was found five meters deep underground, lying near an irrigation canal and around 20 meters from a local’s house on Sept. 12th. The detonator was intact.

With its experience in dealing with unexploded ordnance clearance, the team successfully defused the bomb late in the afternoon on the same day with complete safety.
