She also touched upon the management of food supplements and pharmaceutical cosmetics, along with measures to handle violations in this regard, and the prevention and control of harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, particularly at school.

According to the official, the ministry has operationalized the Party’s guidelines, and the State’s policies and laws with the aim of building a healthcare system that aligns with the country's socioeconomic development, meeting public healthcare needs, and ensuring health security.

It has also put in place various measures to improve state management efficiency and consolidate the legal system, while working to ensure the quality of health check-up and treatment, the procurement of medicines, vaccines, and medical supplies, as well as health insurance and policies for health workers, she said.

The ministry has taken administrative reform, decentralization, and the application of information-technology and digital transformation in both management and health examination and treatment, she added.

Lan, however, noted limitations in the sector, which require more reforms and greater efforts in the time ahead.
