PANO – The Hanoi municipal People’s Council has approved a resolution on naming and adjusting the length of roads, streets and public projects in the city in 2016. Mr. To Van Dong, Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports on August 3rd announced that among the 26 would-be named streets, three are proposed to take the names of the Hoang Sa (Paracel), Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos and Ly Son Island, while the length of six roads is to be readjusted.

Hoang Sa road will start from the crossroads with Vo Van Kiet road (opposite the Thang Long Industrial Park, Kim Chung commune, Dong Anh district) to the foot of the flyover at crossroads with Vo Nguyen Giap road. That road-section 4.8km long and 68m wide.
Meanwhile, Truong Sa road will stretch from the crossroads with the flyover on Vo Nguyen Giap Road (Ngoc Chi hamlet, Vinh Ngoc commune, Dong Anh district) to the foot of Dong Tru bridge (Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district), measuring 7.3km long and 68m wide. Ly Son road will be the section from the flyover to National Highway No.5 that intersects Ngo Gia Tu, Nguyen Van Cu, and Nguyen Van Linh streets to the foot of Dong Tru bridge.
