JICA introducing bus smart card technology |
Prior to the event, Hanoi handed out 200,000 free bus smart cards. The e-tickets applied to bus route No. 06 (Giap Bat - Cau Gie) are made under the same technology as in Japan, ensuring fast interaction and security. The implementation of the technology is part of the project funded by JICA to improve the effectiveness of the public transport system in Hanoi and the passengers’ convenience. This is part of the activities to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day.
The Department of Transportation of Hanoi has also coordinated with relevant agencies to speed up progress of construction works for the celebration.
