The organizing panel hoped to improve the quality and diversify the contents of dissemination of information about human rights on the mass media and the fight against wrongful arguments of hostile forces. The course is also a chance to enhance cooperation in information and experience sharing among ministries, sectors, localities, and media agencies in disseminating information concerning human rights in Vietnam.
At the course, advantages, difficulties and solutions suggested by media agencies to improve the quality of the work were carefully noted by the organizers. Participants at the course agreed that mass media play an important role in protecting and fighting for human and citizens’ rights in Vietnam. However, the information about human rights in Vietnam is often distorted by hostile forces with an aim to deny the achievements of Vietnam in this field.
In order to improve the quality of dissemination of the information, there should be higher awareness of the issue among media staffers, detailed measures to make the dissemination of the information a regular task of media agencies, active combat against the plots of hostile forces, and diversification of both forms and contents of the information dissemination, to name a few.
Participants at the course affirmed that media agencies would contribute more actively and proactively to the dissemination of information about human rights in Vietnam.
