The Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park (SHTP), on September 10th, put into operation a consolidated waste water treatment plant for enterprises in district 9, Ho Chi Minh City.

The plant, built in 2004 at a cost of over VND74 billion, can process 5,000 m3 of waste water per day, meeting the demands of enterprises in the area.

The plant is also part of a key infrastructure project of the hi-tech park, with the objective of ensuring its favourable investment environment and sustainable development.

During the first eight months of 2009, SHTP licensed 4 new projects with a total investment of US$86.8 million, bringing the number of projects in the park to 38, worth   US$1.73 billion.
