PANO – Troops of Military Region 2 (MR2) have day and night detected and cleared unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the border area of Vi Xuyen district Ha Giang province to clean up the environment, ensure safe life for local people, and search and collect martyrs’ remains.

War-left UXO is posing threats to local people in their daily life along the borderline of Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province. In addition, thousands of remains of many fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives on border battlefields in the mountains of Ha Giang province have not yet been repatriated.

Despite dangers and difficulties, MR2’s troops have tried their best to clear the UXO.
