PANO - These days, personnel from the Engineering Company Rotation 2 at the Mission of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) are busy preparing for the lunar New Year (Tet) holiday 2024.

Major Nguyen Mau Vu, Political Commissar of the company said that welcoming the traditional Tet of Vietnam is one of the core activities of the unit.

It is more meaningful because from this year, the lunar New Year officially becomes a holiday, recognized by the United Nations. It is more significant for Vietnamese blue-berets who are doing international duties and welcoming Tet far from home.
