Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh presents gifts to national contributors participating in the program "Pink Flower" |
An artistic program entitled “Pink Flower”, the 13th of its kind, took place at the Hanoi Opera House on July 17. The program included songs in praise of Uncle Ho, the great contributions of national contributors, and traditional patriotic songs.
Present at the event were Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Vo Van Thuong, and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue.
In the framework of this significant program, the organizers, including the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper and the Department of Policy for National Contributors under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, presented six gratitude houses, more than 100 savings books, and over 1,000 gifts to national contributors in Quang Nam, Ha Tinh, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Thai Binh provinces, Da Nang city, and more.

Wound soldiers receive gifts from the Ministry of National Defense |
* The same day, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics, Major General Tran Quoc Dung, Director of the Department of Military Policy visited and handed over several pieces of medical equipment, worth over VND 2.1 billion in total, to the Convalescent Centers for National Contributors and Wounded Soldiers of Nghe An Province.
On the occasion, General Dung presented 70 gifts to local wounded and sick soldiers.
The gifts from the Ministry of National Defense were extracted from the ministry’s Gratitude Fund.
Speaking at the meeting, General Dung emphasized that the gifts reflected the gratitude of military cadres and soldiers to those who sacrificed their blood and flesh for the national salvation and Fatherland protection cause.
* The Army Youth Board in collaboration with Vietnam Solar Joint Stock Company and Youth Union organization of the General Department of Defense Industry visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers being taken care of at the Thuan Thanh Convalescent Center for Wounded Soldiers in Bac Ninh province and local national contributors.

Having expressed deep thanks to heroes, fallen, wounded, and sick soldiers and other national contributors for their great devotion to the nation, Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong, Deputy Head of the Army Youth Board, proudly said that military youths have actively participated in gratitude activities. They have organized gratitude trips to disadvantaged and strategic areas, former revolutionary bases, and historical relics in localities where military units are stationed.
According to Cuong, military youths have visited and gifted wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of fallen soldiers, policy families, national contributors, victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, and others in need. They have also given financial assistance and contributed their working days to build houses for policy families with housing difficulties. Other meaningful activities conducted by the Army Youth Board include repairing and building gratitude houses, presenting savings books and production tools, and supporting heroic Vietnamese mothers. They have also offered free health checkups, medicines, and health counselling to people in need.
On July 26, the board members will light candles at war martyrs’ cemeteries in localities where military units are stationed. In the evening, the board and other units will jointly organize an artistic program entitled “Continue marching- Aspirations of the nation” on the evening of July 26.
