More gifts for national contributors
PANO - The General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army held a gathering for national contributors from Tien Giang province on May 29.
On behalf of the delegation, Deputy-Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Tien Giang province Vo Van Nhi said that the province has carried out policies and measures to care for more than 120,000 national contributors including 11,600 war wounded soldiers, 2,269 revolutionaries nationwide who had been captured and imprisoned during the resistance wars, 489 Party members and Government officials before the August Revolution, 51 heroes of the People's Armed Forces and 5,820 heroic Vietnamese mothers.
At the meeting, Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Yem, Deputy-Director of the Department of Policy under the General Department of Politics, visited and presented gifts to the delegates. He hoped that they would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, actively contributing to the development of the localities and be good examples for young generations to follow.
