Military units welcome Vietnamese citizens from COVID-19 affected areas
PANO - A delegation of Military Region 9 (MR 9), led by Major General Nguyen Xuan Dat, Deputy Commander, and Head of MR 9's Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, on March 5 visited and inspected its affiliate units housing Vietnamese citizens from COVID-19 affected areas.
Up to March 5, MR 9 received more than 1,800 Vietnamese and foreign citizens at 9 units in the area, of which the largest concentration is the Officer Training School under MR 9.
Accordingly, the delegation encouraged people in quarantine areas, informed them of the domestic and international situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, answered their questions about the quarantine process and regulations during the isolation period.
The delegation also asked the units to continue to closely monitor people's health, especially citizens from COVID-19 affected areas, strictly follow the disinfection spraying regulations, pay attention to food safety and hygiene, and actively take measures to cope with the disease.
Earlier, the Officer Training School under Army Corps 1 on March 4 and 5 received 532 Vietnamese citizens from COVID-19 affected areas in the Republic of Korea.
