PANO – Nearly 1,300 soldiers and policemen took part in a large-scale counter-terrorism exercise in the Northern province of Vinh Phuc on December 14th.
The participants are from the Commando Arm, the Signal Arm, and the Vinh Phuc provincial Military Command and Mobile Police Command.

It was based on an assumed situation in which armed terrorists attacked an office building. They captured some local leaders and asked for a ransom and vehicle to flee abroad.
Immediately, the relevant forces took prompt measures to suppress the terrorists and rescue the hostages within two hours.
The exercise was aimed to assess the quality of training for anti-terrorism forces as well as the abilities of professional anti-terrorism forces to coordinate with local units in fighting against terrorists.
