PANO – The Party Committee and Command of Military Zone 3 on February 26th rolled out local defence-military missions in 2016.
At the conference, the participants reviewed the achievements recorded by the command’s constituent units last year, especially in raising combat readiness quality and building defence and security disposition, and consolidating relations with localities. The delegates also pointed out shortcomings in carrying out local defence and other military missions over the past time as well as put forward measures to raise the effectiveness of the work.

Addressing the event, Deputy Defence Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, praised the command for their recorded results and asked Military Zone 3 to cooperate with local Party committees and authorities to promote the study of the Party’s, State’s, Government’s, ministries’, and agencies’ documents on local defence and military missions, build defensive areas, compile documents relating to militiamen, reservists, and defence-security education, and strengthen the leadership of Party committees.
The command was requested to promote the role of military and defence agencies at all levels in helping local Party committees and authorities effectively carry out missions in 2016 and to regularly check and review the implementation of the missions, contributing to raising the quality of the armed forces, meeting the mission requirements in the new context.
