Military youth join hands to help people in drought-hit areas

PANO - The Military Youth Committee (MYC) of the General Department of Politics - in association with the Political Department of Military Zone (MZ) 7, Army Corps 4, the Long An provincial Military Command, and Technological Application and Production One Member Co. Ltd.(Tecapro) - held a program called “Military youth joining hands to help people in drought-hit areas”. The event took place on April 24th in Can Duoc district, Long An province.

At the event, the organizing panel presented 60 gifts to disadvantaged households in Long Huu Tay and Long Huu Dong communes, Can Duoc district. They also gave 30 water tanks (500 liters each) to needy households. The panel also presented gifts to households in drought-hit areas, to help them overcome difficulties.
During the program, MYC and relevant units offered nearly 20 tons of rice, more than 900 water tanks (500 liters each), and nearly 300 gifts, worth more than VND 1.6 billion in total.
According to Colonel Dinh Quoc Hung, Head of MYC, the program demonstrates the care and responsibility of military youth and aims to help locals overcome difficulties during severe droughts. These activities contribute to strengthening military and civilian relations, and beautifying the virtue of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
