Among the youths enlisting in the military in 2023 in Duyen Hai district, six young people have graduated from university, college and vocational schools; seven are Party members; and nearly 50% of them are Khmer people.
In 2023, the new recruits in Duyen Hai district joined military units including Signal Brigade 29, Engineering Brigade 25, Military Region 9; and the provincial Border Guard Command, Military Command, and Public Security Department.
Prior to the event, the locality presented savings books, worth VND 1 to 2 million each, to the new recruits as a source of encouragement.
The same day, other localities in Military Region 9 completed the handover of enlisted youths to military units.

* On February 8, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong attended the ceremony held in Thu Duc city (Ho Chi Minh City); Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet encouraged new recruits in Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province.
On the occasion, Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh was present at a ceremony to hand over new recruits in Lam Ha district, Lam Dong province, while Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan attended a similar ceremony in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province.

* A handover ceremony was held for new recruits in Ho Chi Minh City. This year, the city’s new recruits with good health and education quality include 66 Party members. On the occasion of the lunar New Year 2023, the city visited and presented gifts to the new recruits’ families, worth totally more than VND 22 billion.
* Youths of Tuyen Quang province were wholeheartedly ready to perform their military service in 2023. All of the young people enlisting in the military meet requirements in health, political stance, and education backgrounds.
* In 2023, the enlistment work in Yen Bai province was effectively implemented with good quality. On February 8, in Tran Yen district, the Military Youth Advisory Board, the Military Region 2, the Yen Bai provincial Military Command, and local authorities held a ceremony to hand over new recruits to military units.
* On February 8, localities of Da Nang city completed enlistment work in 2023.
On the same day, many localities of Military Regions 5 and 7 also held similar ceremonies with absolute safety.
