PANO – Medical personnel from Military Hospital 354 have performed endoscopic spinal surgeries and spinal disc herniation treatment for three patients at the hospital’s anaesthesiology department.
This was part of a scientific seminar held by the hospital on March 25th in Hanoi, to give experts and doctors a platform to exchange their views and knowledge about the endoscopic spinal surgery method which is quite new in Vietnam.
Addressing the opening ceremony, the hospital’s Director Senior Colonel Chu Xuan Anh said that back pain caused by slipped discs is a familiar disease among those of working age and has a strong impact on people’s lives and their working capability. Over the past years, doctors have kept studying to find the most effective method to save patients while minimizing the impact on the structure and functions of patients’ spines. In Vietnam, the endoscopic spinal surgery method has been applied in Cho Ray, Vietnam-Germany Friendship, and Da Nang General Hospitals.
Hospital 354 has been equipped with an endoscopic spinal surgery system to raise the hospital’s quality of healthcare and treatment for patients.
