The mission presents gifts to Vietnamese workers who are quarantined at provincial Military School.

The request was made by Major General Nguyen Xuan Kien, Director of the Department of Military Medicine under the General Department of Logistics, on February 22 while inspecting the provincial Military Command’s Regiment 123’s and Military School’s preparation of facilities for a quarantine area for Vietnamese citizens returning from China.

Accordingly, since the first case contracting COVID-19 was confirmed, Regiment 123 has strictly embraced and implemented higher levels’ plan on the disease prevention, considering it a key political mission.

According to Colonel Nguyen Van Quyen, the regiment’s Commander said that the unit has arranged two quarantine areas for Vietnamese people who have returned from the epicenter. The first quarantine area has finished the 14 day monitoring process of the first group of more than 400 Vietnamese citizens and is now ready to receive the second group. The other quarantine area is now providing health monitoring for around 400 people who have returned from China.

At the provincial Military Command’s Military School, half of the quarantined people were verified to have completed the medical quarantine and allowed to return home.

Concluding the working meeting, General Kien highly appreciated Lang Son province’s military units for their good preparations of the quarantine facilities.
