CMC holds conference introducing resolutions to senior officers
PANO – The Central Military Commission (CMC) held a conference, chaired by Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang, for senior military officers to study resolutions of the Politburo, CMC and CMC’s Standing Board on April 25.
The event was also attended by Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) General Luong Cuong, and Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong.

During the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong informed the participants of Resolution No.05-NQ/TW, issued on January 17, 2022, of the Politburo on the organization of the Vietnam People’s Army in the 2021-2030 period and the following years; CMC’s Resolution No.230-NQ/QUTW, issued on April 2, 2022 on the organization of the Vietnam People’s Army in the 2021-2030 period; and plans of the Ministry of National Defense on the implementation of Resolution No.230-NQ/QUTW.
Besides, Major General Le Hong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Department II, also introduced Resolution No.160-ND/QUTW, issued on December 13, 2021, of the CMC’s Standing Board.
During the conference, the GDP’s Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet instructed units in the whole military to organize a program to grasp and implement the above-mentioned resolutions.

The conference aimed to equip all senior military officers in the whole military with the policies of the Party, CMC and CMC’s Standing Board on the organization of the Vietnam People’s Army and defense intelligence work in the current context, aiming to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military from 2030 onward.
The CMC also requested units in the whole military to promote responsibility and determination to effectively implement these resolutions in the coming time.
