Chief of General Staff visits Armored Officer Training School
PANO – On July 19, Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister visited, the Armored Officer Training School.

General Giang inspected the school’s facilities and met with its staff, instructors and cadets.He was then briefed on the school’s achievements in the 2016-2017 academic year. Accordingly, the unit directed relevant agencies to comprehensively fulfill their missions, contributing to building the school into a comprehensively strong unit and building a firm Party Organization. Seventy percent of its cadets obtained good and excellent learning outcomes and one hundred percent of its instructors mastered modern teaching equipment.
Addressing the event, General Giang acknowledged and highly valued the school’s outcomes over the past time, and asked it to continue following the guidance of the Party and the Central Military Commission as well as instructions of the Ministry of National Defense on renovating education and training programs, with a focus on foreign language training, and continuously improving expertise and knowledge for its teaching staff and educational managers, contributing to building regularity, strict disciplinary and solidarity at the school, he added.
