Chief of General Staff inspects units in Kon Tum province
PANO - A delegation of the Ministry of National Defense, led by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Defense Minister, on December 22 visited and inspected units stationed in Kon Tum province.
At the Kon Tum provincial Party Committee, General Giang hailed the locality's achievements in areas such as economy, culture, society and national defense and security. Besides, the Chief of the General Staff and leaders of the province discussed measures to strengthen the leadership orientations for military and defense missions along with the local socio-economic development; especially promote information dissemination for ethnic minority groups to better understand policies and guidelines of the Party and laws of the State, and support them in developing their household-economy, reduce poverty and improve their living standard quality.
At Regiment 28 (Division 10) and Division 10 (Army Corps 3), General Giang praised their outcomes in training, conducting exercises and unit building. He also reminded the units to further strengthen the political and ideological education for officers and soldiers, uphold their combat readiness and fulfill all assigned missions.
Earlier, the General visited, presented gifts and extended Tet greetings to officers and soldiers of the provincial Military Command and the Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command.
