PANO – The Central Military Commission held a conference on July 13 at the Defense Ministry Headquarters to discuss a number of major issues.

The conference was chaired by Party General Secretary and Secretary of the Central Military Commission Nguyen Phu Trong, and participated by President Tran Dai Quang, a permanent member of the Central Military Commission; Defense Minister, General Ngo Xuan Lich, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission; Chief of the Organization sub-Committee of the Party Central Committee Pham Minh Chinh; and other senior defense and civilian officials.

The conference

Addressing the opening ceremony, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong briefed delegates on the issues to be discussed and passed at the conference, a move to concretize the resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress and the 10th Military Party Congress.

The Party chief underscored the importance of the conference as it was to issue major orientations, principles and procedures for the Central Military Commission and its Standing Committee to lead the whole military Party organization and the military during its term.

The one-day conference looked into and passed an Action Program to implement the resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress and the 10th Military Party Congress, Working Procedures for the Central Military Commission of the 2015-20 term, Working Programs of the Central Military Commission of the 2015-20 term and its Standing Committee, Resolutions on inspection and supervision of the entire military Party organization in the 2015-20 period, and Working Procedures for the Inspection sub-Committee of the Central Military Commission of the 2015-20 term.

After the Party General Secretary’s opening speech, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, General Ngo Xuan Lich chaired the conference to discuss and pass the above mentioned contents.
