Border Guard Command calls for actions against DUI
PANO - The Vietnam Border Guard Command held a ceremony on May 27 to call for actions against driving under the influence (DUI) in response to a campaign of the National Traffic Safety Committee.
More than 500 officers, employees, and soldiers of agencies and units under the Vietnam Border Guard Command participated in the event.
At the launching ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Nam, Border Guard Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, requested the Party Committees and commanders of affiliate agencies and units to strictly abide by traffic safety regulations, to build traffic culture and not to drive after drinking.
He also asked the agencies and units to raise their troops' awareness of observing the traffic law.
On behalf of drivers of agencies and units under the Vietnam Border Guard Command, Non-commissioned Captain Nguyen Van Ha expressed his consensus and high determination in fulfilling the goals of the National Traffic Safety Committee to ensure traffic safety and order, as well as pledged to effectively implement the set objectives and contents of the campaign.
